Sonja Aibel

Sonja is a senior in the Applied Mathematics major and has been involved in Model UN since freshman year. She has previously served as a coach and as Under Secretary General and is excited to continue leading our team this year. Outside of MUN, Sonja is involved with local politics and loves to play the guitar.

Director General

Ardasher Nasriddinov

Ardasher is a senior in the Aerospace Major. As an aspiring engineer, he loves to ponder on the mechanisms that run our world- from touring hydro-electric plants to attending conventions on foreign policy and globalism. He describes Model UN as not simply a club but a tightly knit community and pillar of support for the next generation of diplomats, policy makers and educated global citizens.

Ethan Lin

Ethan is a Junior in the Law and Society major and is a huge animal lover. As a hopeful future veterinarian, he volunteers at an exotic animal shelter and has worked as an intern at a vet clinic. He has done MUN since his freshman year and and has gained new friends from all around the world while also accruing experience involving public speaking and research.

Betty Li

Betty is a junior in the Biology major. Throughout her time at Tech, MUN has been one of the most defining experiences she has had. It has boosted her confidence in public speaking and connected her with incredible people from across the globe. As the Under Director General, she is super excited to engage with everyone and create memorable experiences together!

Treasurer

Max Foley

Max is a senior in the Civil Engineering Major, although he’s not very good at it. He much prefers language and politics classes, and has been doing MUN since his freshman year. He’s excited to hold an executive position for the first time, and is dedicated to maintaining the amazing and active MUN community this year. Outside of MUN, he loves to learn new languages, and some say he’ll give you a dollar if you speak to him in one he doesn’t know.

Gustavo Morales Salgado

Gustavo is a senior in the Law and Society major. He joined the Model UN team in his sophomore year, and has been an active participant in the team ever since, often calling Model UN the best extracurricular activity at Tech. Outside of MUN, he enjoys reading and studying history.

Tracy Chen

Tracy is a junior in the Advanced Health major and she is very excited to be the team’s secretary this year. She joined Model UN in her freshman year and has loved it since then. Not only has Model UN helped her build a diverse set of skills but also helped her find a close-knit community that shares a passion for international relations. Outside of MUN, she works on STEM-related projects and volunteers in her community. She looks forward to another great year in this club!

Chloe Cheng

Chloe is a current Junior in the Law and Society major. She joined Model UN in her Freshman year, and her interest in international affairs has only grown since then. To them, MUN is a fascinating way to be a better and more aware citizen of the world, and has provided them with so many critical life skills. Some things about Chloe are that she is an avid reader, loves learning new languages & instruments, and is passionate about climate advocacy.

Alexei Sanoff

Alexei is a junior in the Architecture Major. He enjoys old music, science fiction, infrastructure, and things that go, most especially trains. He joined Model UN in freshman year and has devotedly participated ever since. Feel free to ask him about any questions you may have, or for music recommendations.
