Our Team

TechMUN is proud to be among Tech's largest clubs, with a history dating back to 1977.

What We Do:

Model United Nations is an activity that primarily revolves around simulating the functions of the real United Nations and the way nations deal with real-world problems. Students attend Model UN Conferences, where they take on the role of delegates representing various countries, and participate in different committees that each are assigned to tackle a topic, such as climate change.

TechMUN focuses on preparing our team members to succeed at the activity of Model UN, while also fostering a supportive community. At our weekly club meetings, experienced members mentor newcomers in a groups, helping them become well prepared delegates while also building camaraderie.

Our members apply their skills at local high school conferences throughout New York City, and potentially even a few out of state. Both new members and experienced ones are given various opportunities to experience the thrill of diplomacy in action. All members are also encouraged to help organize our own annual conference, TechMUNC, which allows them to become greatly involved with the team and also build a deeper understanding of Model UN.
